Florida Will Be Going Into a Lockdown

Today, Governor DeSantis made an executive stay at home order that will be in effect as of 12:00am, April 2nd. In other simpler words, tonight. It was for a minimum of 30 days and the restriction details will be released as the day goes on.

In all honestly, I knew that it was gonna happen. Not only that, I knew it was gonna be a spur of the moment decision. Now people are going to be swarming all the grocery stores, etc. to try to prepare in less then a day for a potential month of not being able to go outside depending on the restrictions. As of the time of me writing at 5pm est, I haven’t been able to find any info on the restrictions that will be in place.

I don’t know how the government expects the people to have any faith in them after this all blows over. They have been so incapable of communicating properly. The disconnection between the media and the government is still awful which again is only making people confused and scared.

I’ll be updating this post as the day goes on in case anyone comes by this post, and they can’t find any info either. Were in this together, the sooner people realize that, the sooner we can get over this bump on the road.

Lockdown Restrictions

Alright, now all the information has been released. So the actual time for the lockdown is 12:01am, Friday. So the people of Florida will have until that time to prepare for the lockdown. As far as things restrictions, it seems nothing is changing from before.

• Restaurants are only take out/delivery

• No gatherings of any kind

• Can go out for essentials like groceries, gas, banks. Things of that nature

• Can go out to take care of a family member or friend

• Can take out pets for walks, vet visits, pet emergencies.

• Can go for a bit to get some fresh air or exercise, however you have to be following the social distancing guidelines.

• Workers authorized as essential can be outside

• Businesses marked as essential have been encouraged to operate from home if possible

Anything pretty much that is a want instead of a need is out the window, and while before it was suggested we take these actions anyway, now I believe it will have ramifications if not followed.

I personally think these measures should’ve been taken sooner while people were more at a financial state to be able to going on a lockdown like this. There are a lot of people out of work because they weren’t deemed essential. The longer this lasts, the more business that are gonna have to start shutting down because they’re profiting enough to stay open, for now atleast.

There’s not much more to add to the situation besides what I’ve put up to this point that isn’t opinion based. Maybe ill make a separate post for that so it is not interfering with this post which is more on the sides of news.

Restriction Conformations

The lockdown will be happening tonight. The restrictions I have posted previously are accurate, however i did miss a few activities such as -

• Fishing, swimming, hunting, and biking

The citizens are also being allowed to tend church services. Honestly in my opinion, is a bad idea. I know that in a time like this, people are going to want to turn to their religion for peace and guidance. However, that won’t help with the preventing a further spread of this virus. The virus is here, people need to see that. It doesn’t discriminate, it doesn’t care who you are. It can infect you, and it will cause you harm and discomfort if it does.

These cases of people getting infected because of what some people call blissful ignorance, what I call completely stupid, doing blatantly dumb things. A teenager licked a toilet because of obviously he’s untouchable. This mastermind, to no ones surprise, tests positive for the corona virus. This idiot, is taking up a bed that could quite honestly been used for someone that is actually doing something for society and not putting us more in harms way.

Again, i’ll refrain from adding too much of my opinion and at the very least wait until I make a different post altogether.
